Bobby Ho BUNGS Captain 2009
Bobby's Comments 26th September 2009
Hi Guys, your efforts and generosity in raising money
for Rainbows Hospice throughout the year have just been amazing.
We have collected a massive 183 pounds at Brocton Hall. That was
really fantastic and help breaking the 1000 pounds mark. With
the current difficulty in the economy, I am tremendously proud
of what we have achieved. You are all real Gents and I am
extremely grateful for your support. Thank you so very much and
lets hope we can keep this up for the remainder of the year.
Bobby's Comments January 2009
To everyone, may I first wish you all
good health, success and happiness in
2009. I am indeed very honoured to have
your support as Captain of Bungs this
year. I like to congratulate Foxy on
raising a fantastic sum for Breast
Cancer Care and thank him for his hard
work in 2008. I will try my utmost to
represent our Society with a great sense
of fun, dignity and comradeship.
Once again we have another set of great
golf courses to enjoy this year. My most
sincere thank you to Steve Lloyd for his
dedication and organisation in making
BUNGS such a success. I look forward to
seeing a lot of you gents in this year’s
events and I am particularly excited at
the prospect of retaining the Challenge
Trophy when we do battles in Wales.
My chosen charity is the Rainbows
Children’s Hospice at Loughborough. In
my work, I come to care for these
unfortunate and yet brave kids on a
regular basis. They endure uncomfortable
procedures yet are able to ride it
through with courage and a zest for
life. I know I can count on your
generosity so we can help put a smile on
these young faces.
With my final few words, I wish you all
good golfing and hope many of you will
be there in March to witness me creaming
my drive on the first tee!

Rainbows, a
purpose-built children's hospice,
opened its doors in 1994. Rainbows
is dedicated to meeting the needs of
the children and young people from
the East Midlands who come to the
hospice. These children and young
people are all affected by
life-limiting and life-threatening
conditions.
They
offer specialist respite stays,
symptom management, palliative and
end-of-life care for children and
young people as well as support for
the whole family. Care is provided
by a professional team of highly
respected nurses, carers and
therapists together with a large
support team, under the direction of
a team of doctors providing
specialist paediatric, palliative
care for children in the hospice and
in the community.

We will again be collecting money from the
'charity bunkers' and would hope every BUNGS
member will be prepared to pay up their 50p when
entering a bunker on a par three.
