I have chosen the Midlands Air Ambulance as the recipient charity for this years fund raising effort.

Accidents will always happen, so it is reassuring to know that across the Midlands and Welsh border region we have an Air Ambulance service available 7 days a week, 365 days a year, just in case.

They receive no Government or National Lottery funding - in fact no public money at all. The Charity needs to fundraise £6 million each year to support the work of the helicopter service.

The Charity operates three Air Ambulances, covering a geographically area of 6,000 square miles across six Midland counties. Midlands Air Ambulance carries out approximately 3,500 missions each year and has completed in excess of 30,000 life saving missions since it commenced in 1991.
