next golf day

Our next event takes place at Whittington Heath Golf Club, Lichfield on Thursday 31^st July 2008 where we will be competing for The Pairs Championship (18 holes four-ball better-ball stableford, pairs to be drawn out the hat on the morning of play). This day will cost £60 and includes:

Coffee and bacon sandwich on arrival (9.15 - 9.30)
9 hole ‘practice’ in the morning (1^st tee-time 10.00)
Soup and sandwich lunch (12.00 – 1.00) approx
18 hole four-ball better-ball stableford in the afternoon (1^st tee-time 1.30)
Three course meal followed by prize giving (7.00 – 7.30 approx)
Soup of the day; Roast pork; sherry trifle

If you wish to attend this event, please return the bottom portion of the letter with the full payment of £60 by no later than Thursday 24^th July. 

Please note that jacket, shirt and tie ARE REQUIRED in the clubhouse for the evening meal.

Founded in 1886, Whittington Heath is one of the oldest clubs in England and one of the best courses in the midlands. The course is 18 magnificent holes winding their way through heathland and trees presenting a great test of golf. Although it’s not the longest of courses and the doglegs are most tempting, leaving the fairway can be severely punished. Even if you hit the greens in regulation, putting is no picnic on the fast undulating greens.

Please note, the maximum number of places available for this golf day is 40.
