Founded in 1897, Filey stands on the clifftop overlooking Filey Bay giving magnificent views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Originally designed by the legendary architect James Braid and examples of his design features can be seen on the course. It has been suggested that Dr. Alister Mackenzie, during his period of residence in Leeds, made amendments to the original design.

Founded in 1893, Ganton is a heathland course with a prestigious pedigree within British golf. The original layout has been modified over the years by such architects as Harry Vardon, J H Taylor, James Braid and Alister McKenzie and has been voted 8th best course in England. The course is of outstanding quality and hosted the Ryder Cup in 1949, the Amateur Championship on three occasions and most recently the Curtis Cup in 2000 and Walker Cup in 2003. Gary Player once said that Ganton was the only inland course in the United Kingdom worthy of holding the Open Championship. High praise indeed.

Founded in 1906, Fulford is a heathland/parkland course of truly excellent quality and has hosted many major Amateur and Professional tournaments including the Benson & Hedges International, Murphys Cup and the Women’s British Open. When on the European Tour ‘rota’, Fulford had a reputation for the best greens on tour, and they remain outstanding today. One of the most enduring images in golf must be Bernhard Langer clambering up a tree on the seventeenth at Fulford during the 1981 B&H International to play his third shot to the green. To this day, his feat is marked by a plaque on the same tree.
